R. ANDY DE SOUZA

Andy de Souza holds an Honours Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences - Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College. After becoming a certified athletic therapist, he obtained a diploma in massage therapy from the Ontario College of Health and Technology and became a registered massage therapist. 

 

Andy believes in working with patients to find and address the underlying causes of musculoskeletal conditions, and to help them overcome the biopsychosocial barriers to their treatment. As a registered massage therapist, Andy uses evidence-based manual therapy techniques to help alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life. As a certified athletic therapist, Andy focuses on manual therapy techniques coupled with movement-focused exercise rehabilitation. 

 

Andy has worked with many different sports including hockey, rugby, soccer, volleyball, football, lacrosse, tennis, and ultimate frisbee. He worked with sports of all levels including youth, varsity professional, masters, provincial, national, and international levels of competition. Andy is particularly interested in Roller Derby. He served as the athletic therapist for the 2023 Canada Junior Team in France. He skated for Team Canada Men’s Roller Derby in 2018 and 2020 and is an assistant coach of the 2025 Team Canada Women’s Roller Derby Team.
